We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ferenc Krausz for being awarded the Nobel Prize, a well-deserved culmination of decades of dedicated research!
Ferenc Krausz’s contributions are closely tied to domestic scientific research, playing a fundamental role in the initial achievements through the work of two researchers currently employed at KFKI: Róbert Szipőcs (involved in the design of chirped laser mirrors) and Kárpát Ferencz (responsible for the manufacturing of laser mirrors). The national optical scientific community has been eagerly anticipating and hopeful for this highest recognition for several years. Today, Kárpát’s foresight, articulated almost a decade ago, has been realized: “…we will still hear about Him.
